DMR: “What Is the Glass Cliff?”
Hello all,
I was just in Finance Functions (a weekend workshop class required for the LPA specialization) and we read a case about a St. Jude organization in Texas. They asked a woman to take over their nonprofit, which had been facing multiple million-dollar deficits in the current year and years prior. It made me want to find an interesting/educational way to explain the Glass Cliff phenomenon (even though she was well-qualified AND didn’t “fall” off the cliff).
