Place-Based Service Learning Workshop for Educators
I wanted to share this upcoming free online workshop for educators hosted by the Appalachian Trail Conservancy and the Forest for Every Classroom series. It is geared mostly toward K-12 educators and based on the East Coast, but I think there will be useful takeaways for all educators interested in environmental justice.
From the workshop description: “Restoring Ourselves, Restoring Our Lands: Empowering Educators to Examine Our Role in Equitable Access to Public Lands (ROROL) applies a Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion lens to Place-Based Service Learning and demonstrates how educators can meet state-mandated curriculum standards and enhance student awareness and learning about public lands.”
