Racial and Ethnic Diversity in the Arab World
This project is an adaptation of two activities from book one of the widely used Al-Kitaab Arabic textbook series. While the original activities were simple drills meant to help students practice a type of adjective known as the nisba adjective, my revised version ties this type of adjective (often used to describe ethnic origins) to a discussion of minority groups in the Arab world, and then uses this discussion as a springboard for a presentation which requires students to research prominent activists and/or members of minority groups. The lesson is geared toward novice learners and can be accessed at the following link: Jacob Adams Materials Development Second Draft

Interesting perspective on integrating language learning with discussions on racial and ethnic diversity in the Arab world. It adds a valuable layer to the educational experience connecting language skills with broader cultural awareness.
