China’s Stance on Homosexuality Has Changed. Its Textbooks Haven’t.

Check this piece of news out. I am glad to see this progress in China has been made by the people in the LGBTQ community. However, the girl lives in Hong Kong. I am not sure if the situation works the same in mainland China.

I will follow up on the result of this sue.

Thanks for sharing this Xinxin! I am not surprised (sadly) that psychology books describe homosexuality as a mental illness. That’s how it’s also seen in Turkey, to a large extent. I am glad that this problem is getting recognition and hopefully these oppressive biases will eventually be removed from our textbooks.
